EA CEO wants to sell DLC to console game pirates
Thursday, December 10, 2009 8:00 No CommentsKotaku’s Stephen Totilo recently spoke with EA’s CEO, John Riccitiello, who had a rather refreshing view of the rampant problem of video game piracy. Even though he made sure to clarify that he and his company look down on the act of piracy, Riccitiello noted that even if some gamers don’t pay for the games they’re playing, all of them are potential customers for DLC. “There’s a sizable pirate market and a sizable second sale market and we want to try to generate revenue in that marketplace.” Riccitiello said.
Fourth Resident Evil movie pushed to 2011
Thursday, December 10, 2009 8:00 No CommentsWhile filming on the movie is set to conclude this month, Kotaku has discovered that Resident Evil: Afterlife–the fourth film in Resident Evil movie franchise–will be delayed from its original August 2010 release date to January 2011. AceShowBiz reports that the reason for the delay is the post-production work necessary for director Paul W.S. Anderson.
